Job Description

As Payroll Officer, you’ll be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements and internal policies. You’ll work closely with HR, Finance, and managers to maintain accurate employee records and deliver a seamless payroll experience for our team. Your role is key, because people deserve peace of mind on pay day.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees
  • Maintain payroll records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, social security, and statutory requirements
  • Calculate wages, bonuses, benefits, overtime, deductions, and adjustments
  • Liaise with HR on new hires, terminations, and salary changes
  • Verify and reconcile differences between reported hours and scheduled rosters.
  • Prepare and submit monthly statutory filings and reports
  • Respond to employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with payroll audits and year-end reconciliations
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and best practices

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years proven experience as a Payroll Officer, Payroll Administrator, or similar role
  • Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Indigo Shireburn, Sage, or similar) and MS Excel
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and employment laws
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
