Job Description

You will be responsible to manage the company’s outgoing payments, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time, and maintaining proper financial records in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Honesty and integrity play a vital role in finance.  The finance team is a first line of defence in making sure that the Tumas Gaming Group presents a true and fair picture of its operational results and financial position.

Role and Responsibilities

Accounting team: Forming an integral part of the accounting team within the Finance department, participating in the monthly and yearly closing processes including keeping deadlines in accordance with the Group’s financial plan.

Accounts Payable & Bookkeeping

  • Manage the full accounts payable cycle according to Company’s Procurement Policy, from purchase order creation through invoice processing and supplier payments.
  • Verify invoices against supporting documentation and ensure all necessary approvals are obtained.
  • Process supplier payments accurately and in a timely
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers regarding purchase orders, invoices, payment status, and account queries.
  • Work closely with the Assistant Financial Controller and operational departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Reconciliation of accounts

  • Perform regular reconciliations of supplier statements and accounts payable balances.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate any

Accruals and prepayments

  • Prepare and post month-end accrual and prepayment
  • Monitor accruals and prepayments throughout the year to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for audit

Fixed Asset Register

  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, recording additions, disposals, and
  • Calculate and post monthly depreciation entries.
  • Ensure fixed asset records are complete, accurate, and reconciled to the general ledger.

Internal Controls and Asset Safeguarding

  • Adhere to and maintain effective financial controls and company
  • Support measures designed to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Participate in activities such as cash counts, control reviews, and audit requests.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.

Variance Analysis: Analysing company performance by identifying discrepancies against budgets and previous months and investigating such differences

Lease Accounting: Preparation of lease accounting workings and the accurate posting of related entries in the accounting system.

Development projects

  • Participate in finance-related projects and process improvement

Requirements (skills, knowledge, experience, attitude)

A highly organised character, having the ability to work on own initiative, in a methodical and organized manner, completing tasks on time.

A natural team player, collaborating well with colleagues and demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.

Prior work experience in a similar role is considered to be a great asset, with strong exposure to AP.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage deadlines and work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
